Honest Review of the LET’S RESIN Flex Rubber for Taba Squishy Kit

If you enjoy crafty DIY projects and making cute little creations, the LET’S RESIN Flex Rubber for Taba Squishy Kit was a fun little experiment. Overall, I had a decent experience with it, even with a little chaos caused by my cat during the curing process.

The kit was easy to mix and beginner friendly. It came with enough rubber mix to make all four animals included in the mold. The mold itself has four different animal shapes, so there was a nice variety.

Inside the box were gloves, pompoms, eyes, pigment colors, and a powder to coat the finished animals with. The included red and blue pigments mixed in really nicely and gave solid color without looking streaky or faded.

One thing I was not impressed with was how the gloves were packaged. They were all stuffed together and wadded up inside the box, which felt messy and a little cheap compared to the rest of the kit.

Another issue I had was the mold itself. It was pretty flimsy and difficult to fully clean out once the project was done. Getting leftover material off the mold was frustrating enough that I will probably just toss it instead of trying to reuse it.

The curing process takes about 4 to 6 hours. My biggest problem during that time was not the product itself. It was my cat. I covered the mold with a box so he would not try to lick it, but apparently that was not enough. Somehow he managed to lay on the box, which caused the mold to spill everywhere. After moving my furry little troublemaker and uncovering the project, I cleaned up the mess and poured as much as I could back into the mold.

Once cured, the finished animals were extremely sticky. I can definitely see why the kit included the powder because without it the squishies felt way too tacky to handle comfortably. Thankfully, the powder did help remove the sticky feeling and made them much nicer to touch afterward.

The little eyes were also kind of disappointing because they started falling off after playing with the squishies for a short time.

Overall, the LET’S RESIN Flex Rubber for Taba Squishy Kit was an interesting craft experience, but not one I would personally do again. The mixing process was easy and the pigments worked well, but between the flimsy mold, sticky finish, and the eyes falling off, it just was not something I would buy again.

Would I make these again? No.
Would I buy this kit again? Also no
