I found this plastic skeleton at the grocery store and thought it would be fun to try and create a piece of art with it. At first I tried spraying it with with a reddish/pinkish distressing spray. That did not stick with the plastic very well. It rubbed off while handling the skeleton.

For fun I thought I would try adding some eyes. I used some plastic half dome doll eyes and hot glued them in place. After adding clay around the eyes to make eye lids I used some UV resin to make the eyes looked wet and glossy.

After I added the eyes I used apoxie sculpt to add a face to the skeleton and that turned into adding the body as well. For the body I used a foam clay. (Affiliate link).

I do not have a review to share of the foam clay. But here are my thoughts on that. I found it to be too sticky and did not care for the texture of it. I did not like how it felt gooey. When dry it is still soft so it does not dry completely dry. But for the purpose of this project that is ok.

On the ribs I did not fully add clay to that area. To give it that reddish wet look i use red mica powder and UV resin.

When the clay was all dry I painted him with a flesh tone paint and used a scrap of denim to make him some pants.
